What is a Schengen visa?
A Schengen visa is an authorization that permits the applicant to stay or travel through Poland and other Schengen countries. It is a Sticker visa affixed to your passport.
The visa sticker shows the number of entries allowed: ‘1’ for single-entry, ‘2’ for double-entry, or ‘MULT’ for multiple-entry.
How long can you stay on a Schengen Short-stay visa?
With a Schengen Short-stay Visa, visitors can stay in the Schengen area for a maximum of 90 days in a 180-day period (not country-specific). The day of entry into any of the Schengen countries counts as Day 1.
The Duration of Stay is mentioned on the Schengen visa sticker.
I plan to visit multiple countries on my trip. How do I apply for the visa?
If you have multiple reasons for visiting the Schengen area, apply for the visa that serves the primary purpose. For example, if you are visiting Poland & another country for tourism and a third country for business purposes, then you must apply for a Business Visa.
If the purpose of the visit is the same for all countries, apply for the Schengen visa if you will stay longest in Poland.
If you will be staying for similar durations, then apply to the country that you will enter first.
