Yes, you can extend your Egypt tourist visa for an additional three months. To do so, you need to visit the relevant immigration office in Cairo in person and submit your extension application. Please note that this process cannot be completed online.

Although you can apply for an Egypt visa with a one-way ticket, it is recommended to have a return or onward flight ticket. Immigration officials may ask to see your ticket to confirm your plans to depart Egypt within the allowed period.

What happens if my travel dates change after getting an e-Visa?

If your new travel dates fall within the validity period of e-Visa, then you can continue your trip with the same visa. However, if your new travel dates fall outside the validity period of the e-Visa, then you will need to apply for a new e-Visa.

Do Indians need a visa to visit Egypt?

Indian passport holders need an Egypt visa for tourism.

e-Visa is granted only to those applicants who have booked any tours or land transfers through authorized travel agents registered in Egypt.

Applicants visiting Egypt for self-guided/independent travel, business, visiting family/friends or any other purpose must apply for sticker visas.

However, we have observed in the past that some airlines and immigration at airports are not aware of this rule and can create problems for passengers at the airport.
